Verification & recalibration
The calibration and conformity assessment for new vehicles is part of our day-to-day business.
When manufacturing a tanker, the declaration of conformity / calibration is one of the most important work steps and it is ensured that the measuring system installed in the tanker complies with the requirements of the associated type-examination certificate and thus conformity with the MID directive, or nationally with the MessEV, is guaranteed.
"According to § 34 of the Measurement and Verification Ordinance (MessEV), the verification period for a measuring device is basically two years, unless otherwise stipulated. "- Arbeitsgemeinschaft Mess- und Eichwesen.
Tank vehicles with a urea, flow or dipstick measuring system fall under this provision and are to be subjected to a recurring quality inspection. The calibration period begins on the day of placing the product on the market and must be repeated in the year in which the period ends. As the operator of a tank truck with a corresponding measuring system, you are obliged to carry out these tests properly and on time.
Required test medium
Urea measuring systems are tested for the first time with water and recurrently with aqueous urea solution. Flow measuring systems and dipsticks for mineral oil products are checked for the first time and recurrently with petroleum, also with petrol or diesel on customer request.
